Christmas

Well, Christmas was really fun this year. On Christmas Eve, we gave Secret Santa presents and then we all went over to Grandma Jarvis' house for dinner. Over there we did the traditional family acting out of the nativity. After that, we all opened our presents from Grandma and Grandpa. On Christmas Day my parents and I went over to Ben and Lexi's to watch them open presents. Then Ben and Lexi's family came over to our house to watch us open ours. Everyone came over at 1:00 for our phone call with Clint. It was really great to talk to him.

Ben got a PSP!

Cooper loves candy canes.
Kami got a cute little princess outfit.
How cute is that girl?

Harvard Law School

David received a phone call last week from a Harvard Law School rep. congratulating him and welcoming him to the graduating class of 2012. He isn't sure where he will attend law school, but what an exciting option. Way to go David and Malia!

Baby's first Christmas

This is one of Grandma Jarvis' favorite poems. She would read it every year when there was a new baby in the family.

Hang up the baby's stocking.
Be sure you don't forget.
for the dear little dimpled darling!
Has ne'er seen Christmas yet.
But I've told him all about it,
And he opened his big blue eyes,
And I'm sure he understood it--
He looked so funny and wise.
Dear! what a tiny stocking!
It doesn't take much to hold,
Such little pink toes as baby's,
Away from the frost and cold.
But then for the baby's Christmas,
It will never do at all,
Why, Santa wouldn't be looking,
For anything half so small.
I know what we'll do for the baby.
I've thought of the very best plan:
I'll borrow a stocking of grandma,
The longest that ever I can.
And you'll hang it by mine, dear mother,
Right here in the corner, so!
And write a letter to Santa,
And fasten it on to the toe.
Write, "This is the baby's stocking,
That hangs in the corner here,
You never have seen his, Santa,
For he only came this year;
But he's just the blessedest baby!
And now, before you go,
Just cram his stocking with goodies,
From the top clear down to the toe."

Elder Morris

Clint sent us his SD card. Last night for our FHE activity we watched videos and looked at pictures. It was so fun. Only 9 more fast Sundays and he will be home. We are so proud of the work he is doing. What an amazing experience a mission can be! For those of you who don't know him, you can probably tell from the pictures that he's kind of a nut. That's why we love him!
